Pygmy hippopotamuses resemble hippopotamuses , but on closer examination, several differences can be noted. Pygmy hippopotamuses are smaller. They are more like a pig in shape and have smaller head and longer neck and legs. Unlike Hippos, Their eyes are placed on the sides of the head and their nostrils are low on the face. The Pygmy hippopotamuses is found in W. Africa in dense, swapy forests near streams, rivers and creeks.
